2023 Toyota Sequoia, coming soon

The all-new 2023 Toyota Sequoia, will soon be available in the Montreal area, including at your Spinelli Toyota dealership in Lachine!  Completely redesigned, it will offer several different trim levels as well as solid performance thanks to a new hybrid powertrain; be amongst the first to take it out for a spin! 

Price, trim levels and release date

This Toyota SUV is not the most known by buyers here, even though it competes neck to neck with models like the Ford Expedition or the Chevrolet Suburban, for example. 

It should be available in dealerships before year’s end.  The 2023 Sequoia will be offered in 5 trim levels: TRD Off Road, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro and the all-new Capstone Edition.  This latest edition is the most luxurious version of the Sequoia to date.

The price range for the new Toyota Sequoia has not yet been revealed by the manufacturer.  But just to give you an idea, the model sold in the United-States is offered at a base price of $ 58,300 US. 

A silhouette that commands respect

Completely redesigned, the 2023 Toyota Sequoia is instantly recognizable thanks to its imposing dimensions which are supported by 18- to 22- inch wheels, its muscular fascia as well as its stunning headlights and taillights. 

Its robust and sculpted lines and –depending on selected model- lateral steps, also contribute to giving it a striking style. 

Even the interior will have you gasping thanks to the high-quality materials used, like semi-aniline leather and genuine walnut wood trims, to name just a few. 

An even more powerful powertrain… which is also hybrid!

Under the Toyota SUV hood, you will find an i-FORCE MAX biturbo V6 hybrid that offers 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft. maximum torque (56 more horsepower and 182 lb-ft. extra torque), coupled with a 10- speed automatic transmission as standard equipment.  It replaces the V8 engine as well as the 6- speed automatic transmission that were found on the previous model. 

You will certainly appreciate the different driving modes as well as its competent 4- wheel drive system, without forgetting the generous 9,000 pound maximum towing capacity, which is significantly more than the 7,400 pound maximum capacity offered by the 2022 model. 

When it comes to fuel consumption, no official numbers have yet been revealed, but Toyota assures us that energy efficiency for the Sequoia will be remarkable. 

Impressive dimensions 

The 2023 Sequoia, as mentioned above, is an imposing SUV; but to what extent exactly?  Here are a few specifics on interior and exterior dimensions to give you a better idea. 

Take note that the 2023 Sequoia offers a maximum cargo space that is a bit less generous than the 2022 model-year. 

Added features and technologies aboard the 2023 Toyota Sequoia 

Capable of welcoming up to 7- or 8- passengers –depending on selected model-, the 2023 Sequoia also offers loads of added technologies and features.  Luxurious and comfortable, it offers –amongst other things- power heated seats, climate control over 3- zones, a sunroof and power tailgate (data from the 2022 model). 

Finally, when it comes to added technologies, you will have access to Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility, a 14- speaker JBL audio system, an 8- or 14- inch touch screen, InfoCloud navigation and foldable and extended towing mirrors, which are offered exclusively on the Sequoia. 

As for safety features, all of the Toyota Sequoia come standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 system, which includes an improved pre-collision system.  It comes with:

• Low-light Pedestrian Detection;
• Cyclist Detection;
• Pedestrian Detection in Intersection;
• Oncoming traffic Detection;
• Etc. 

Depending on the selected model, you will also take advantage of Lane Departure Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Rear Passenger Reminder Alert, Blind Sport Surveillance and Front and Rear Park Assist, amongst other things.
